This Seller Payout Policy explains how vendors (“Sellers”) receive payments for orders placed through the Shwcse platform. Shwcse uses Stripe Connect Standard to process all payments and distribute funds directly to Sellers.

By selling on Shwcse, you agree to this policy and to Stripe’s Terms of Service:

1. Connecting Your Stripe Account

To receive payouts, Sellers must:

  • Create or connect a Stripe Standard Account

  • Complete all identity and banking verification steps required by Stripe

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date account information at all times

If verification is incomplete or fails, payouts will not be issued.

Shwcse cannot override Stripe verification or manually release funds.

2. Role of Stripe vs. Shwcse

Stripe Handles:

  • Customer payment processing

  • Fund storage and transfers

  • Payout timing and delivery

  • Identity verification

  • Fraud and risk assessment

  • Chargebacks and payment disputes

Shwcse Handles:

  • Marketplace operations and order facilitation

  • Platform fees (commissions and approved adjustments)

  • Vendor compliance reviews

  • Customer-facing policies and platform support

Shwcse never receives, holds, or manages Seller funds.
All payouts move directly from Stripe to the Seller.

3. How Funds Flow

When a customer completes an order:

  1. Stripe processes the customer payment on behalf of the Seller.

  2. Stripe deducts:

    • Stripe processing fees

    • Shwcse platform application fees (commissions and approved adjustments)

  3. Remaining funds are deposited into the Seller’s Stripe balance.

  4. Stripe sends payouts to the Seller according to Stripe’s payout schedule.

Shwcse does not control payout timing.

4. Stripe Processing Fees

Stripe typically charges:

2.9% + $0.30 per successful charge
(International, high-risk, or specialty payments may vary.)

These fees are deducted automatically by Stripe and are not refunded, even if a customer receives a refund.

5. Payout Schedule (Set by Stripe)

Stripe controls payout timing, which may vary based on:

  • Seller location

  • Industry category

  • Account verification status

  • Risk and dispute history

Typical U.S. payout timing:

  • 2–7 business days after the transaction

  • Instant Payouts may be available for an additional Stripe fee

Shwcse cannot accelerate or release delayed payouts.

6. Payout Holds & Reserves (Stripe-Controlled)

Stripe may place holds or reserves when:

  • Identity verification is incomplete

  • Risk or fraud signals are detected

  • Refund or chargeback rates are high

  • Required banking or tax information is missing

  • Additional compliance review is required

Holds may include:

  • Temporary payout delays

  • Rolling reserves

  • Account balance requirements

  • Full payout suspension

Shwcse cannot access or override held funds.

7. Chargebacks

If a customer files a chargeback through their bank:

  • Stripe withdraws the disputed amount from the Seller’s Stripe account

  • Stripe may apply a chargeback fee

  • Sellers must submit evidence through Stripe’s dashboard

  • Stripe or the card issuer determines the final outcome

If the dispute is lost, the Seller is financially responsible.

Multiple chargebacks may result in:

  • Payout delays

  • Increased reserves

  • Stripe account restrictions or termination

Shwcse does not manage chargeback investigations.

8. Refunds & Adjustments

When Shwcse approves a customer refund:

  • Stripe reverses the payment from the Seller’s Stripe account

  • Stripe does not reimburse processing fees

  • If the Seller’s balance is insufficient, Stripe may:

    • Debit the Seller’s bank account, or

    • Create a negative Stripe balance

Shwcse may apply additional platform adjustments when the Seller is at fault, including for misrepresentation, defects, or incorrect items.

9. Negative Balances

A Seller’s Stripe account may show a negative balance due to:

  • Refunds

  • Chargebacks

  • Return-related adjustments

  • Stripe fees

  • Dispute losses

Stripe may automatically:

  • Deduct from future payouts

  • Debit the Seller’s connected bank account

Shwcse may also restrict listings, pause account activity, or suspend vendor access until the balance is resolved.

10. Account Termination & Final Payout

If a Seller’s Shwcse account is suspended or terminated:

  • Stripe may hold funds for up to 90 days to cover disputes

  • Once all disputes and holds are cleared, Stripe releases eligible funds

  • If Stripe closes the Seller’s Stripe account, payouts stop until a compliant account is established

Shwcse cannot issue manual payouts under any circumstances.

11. Taxes

Sellers are responsible for:

  • Reporting all income received through Stripe

  • Submitting required tax documents to Stripe

  • Complying with federal, state, and local tax obligations

Stripe may issue required forms (such as 1099-K) when legally required.

12. Customer Fees Are Separate

This policy applies only to Sellers.

Customer-facing fees, including:

  • Delivery fees

  • Return fees

  • Restocking fees

  • Processing fees

…are governed by Shwcse’s customer policies and are not covered in this document.
